On behalf of our client, TCB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development / Operations Manager to lead the growth of their Water Infrastructure division. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established contractor with a strong reputation, experienced leadership team and the capability to deliver major pipeline and civil infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
This role is not about starting from scratch. You'll inherit an existing foundation, receive strong support from senior management and have the autonomy to shape the future direction of the division.
About the Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities, developing key client relationships and overseeing the successful delivery of projects.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's presence across the water infrastructure sector while ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development and secure new water infrastructure opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
- Prepare tenders, proposals and commercial submissions.
- Lead project delivery from award through to completion.
- Build and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and strategic direction to the team.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules and risk.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth strategy of the business.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience within the water infrastructure or pipeline construction industry.
- An established network across organisations such as Water Corporation, BHP, Rio Tinto, Fortescue and other major asset owners.
- Strong business development experience with a proven ability to win work.
- And / or project management experience delivering pipeline infrastructure projects.
- Sound technical knowledge of water infrastructure construction methodologies.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, driven and entrepreneurial approach.
